Apparently Iran dismissed the allegation and called it "a child"s story". Well it was also childishly connived!
What did Iran want to achieve with the assassination of the Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. As a retaliation for the remark – according to Wikileaks – the Saudi king made, that the U.S. should bomb Iran?

Iran is doing all it can to take the heat of Bashar Al Assad, the Hezbollah operatives in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have been more active than ever waging street wars. By Trying to Assasinate the saudi ambassador Iran wanted to send a clear message not to Saudi but to King Abdullah as Al-Jubeir is his advisor. It's only a matter of time the fall of syria is the begining of the fall of Iran and the end of most middle east problems caused by Iranian proxies situated in arab countries.
