I saw your sunday programme regarding Pakistan. I think your viewers would have been much better served if Fareed Zakaria had an analyst or a commentator from Pakistan to get the realities on the ground. Blaming the whole Afghan fiasco on Pakistan, a poor third world country, is far from the truth. The facts of the matter are that more than 35,000 Pakistani civilians and more than 4,000 Pakistani soldiers have sacrificed their lives in this war on terror. The daily drone attacks in the Tribal areas has further resulted in thousands of innocent civilian deaths. These are the facts the rest is hyperbole that Fareed Zakaria likes to spew out to further the cause of the military industrial complex. War makes a lot of people very rich.

I regret the high number of casualties in Pakistan as a result of the war on terror. I do think the Pakistani civilians are also victims of their military's machinations. What do the top shots of the ISI and the top brass care about ordinary and innocent civilians, as long as they maintain their power?

Y Khan, it's clear that you are simply an over-nationalistic and angry Pakistani. Fareed gave an accurate assessment of the curren situation there, and you should not fault him for it.

I say that as someone whose parents are Pakistani immigrants. Stop being so biased due to blind nationalism. People like you have ruined that country.

This is disingenuous to just dismiss the other side just because you don't like what they are saying. If you even ask the europeans, they will tell you that US likes to blame others if things mess up and europe is asked to contribute financially, though I think it is time Europe paid more than its fair share in NATO for EU defence.

Bush venturing off to Afghanistan and the drugs that fuel the taliban money train aren't Pakistan's fault. The point is that we had a window after 2001 to fix things in afghanistan (taliban were still in shock from being ousted) and we wasted it on iraq just because bush had daddy issues (saddam tried to killy dadddy...) and reshaping middle east in US and ISrael's favor (Saddam had irked israel by saying he would fund palestineans). We have no relations with Iran and Central asia would stick with their russian overlords, so we would need Pakistan sooner than later for influence in afghanistan as they would be there long after we leave. Our casualties might be low, but this current exercise is futile as we don't have any ficking idea what we are doing in afghanistan.

Do you mean there are actually jobs available in the United States?

Let's get word out to the 13 million, who are unemployed. They will be delighted to learn this.

Where are the new US jobs? Why not ask the GOP? First they created the worst economic crisis in America since the Great Depression with their ineffective, pointless and unregulated economic policies and corporate greed. Then they have stepped in the way of the Obama administration, arguing that this administration's jobs plan is flawed and ineffective. Well, from day one President Obama said if you have a better plan for creating jobs and re-growing the American economy then step forward with it. Three years later the GOP is yet to respond. So why the delay? I presume that the GOP doesn't really have a job plan at all because if they did we wouldn't have been in an economic crisis in the first place. Ha ha ha ha ha!

Why do the libtards always blame a republican president when the democratic controlled house and senate had the purse strings. Do you even understand how gov't is supposed to work.

I say all jobs are in India.. but i wont go there.. .. women r so ugly there , and everything is so dirty, unsanitary, pollution, wide-spread poverty and everything is just nasty . No freedom..People r so conservative, impolite and selfish, cant even go on a date . Only thing good about India is no snow, respect / care for elders and yummy food. China is bad too, like India !!
