Your take on the MEK.
I watched the 5/13 show and was dissappointed that David Fromm spoke from the U.S. point of view. He is a speech writer not an Economist, Reporter, Politician or Gov't official. He incorrectly stated that the unemployment rate in Spain was 50% only to be corrected by the German commentator who correctly stated it was 50% among the young population.
Why have Davvid Fromm.
I am Asian and from a developing Country and being in US for last 5 years. I just don't understand that when any Country does want to engage with another country economically, military and other certain issues why does US concerns about it?
For example when China wants to engage with certain countries like pakistan or in africa for building infrastructure.
Another classic example when India which is a democratic country and is friendly with almost every nation except naming a few why does it has to stop doing Oil business with Iran because US hates iran and of nuclear threat. Then why US is helping Pakistan which is named by them terrorist country and harboring terrorists and still has give 24 billions dollars in last 10 years.
Another classic example I know US is putting heavy sanctions on certain countries and talk about Aid programs and Peace. But due to political heads of certain countries does people have to suffer like Zimbabwe,Iran etc.
I just want to note another thing is why does US always has hold of World Bank and European head has hold of IMF, does it not allow other countries to hold off.
is it not the time of certain policies for Economic growth in US and well as Europe. I want to settle in US and I like the freedom of speech here but it has to responsibility of whats it doing in center stage of World for which it is just being blamed for everything.
I request Fareed to Answer where is US heading in the coming years with present situation on Economy. Does it concerns Europe too.
Why can't America mind it's own business, just focus on itself, and leave other countries alone? Why do we have so many bases all over the world when nobody else does?
are you an ostrich?
Do you want to die of hunger.Without looting you can"t do anything.
In today's hyperpartisan climate, it is difficult to hear practical innovative thinking on how best to address our economic crises both domestically and abroad. So much has centered on either or politics or the what-ifs of failure that we miss the important question: how else?
My question to you is what other innovative not-necessarily partisan proposals to address and redress our domestic economic crisis are out there that we aren't hearing about? Surely there is something new or in-between austerity and stimulus that deserves at least as much attention as the worn out partisan debates of the past half decade.
Are you soft in the brain? You are talking "Socialism" economic tactics. It never worked, and doesnt work.
It's simple. If you are old enough, then you can remember when Jimmy Carter was run out of office by Ronald Reagan based on "Get government out of the way, government IS THE PROBLEM". With 18 months the economy was rocking!
Business and capitalism is what made this country strong, look back in time. Yes you hate capitalism, but the FACT is thats what this country has been based on.
If you don't like it, then MOVE!!! Maybe greece suits you, or Spain. That what they did, your in between stimulus and austerity planning ideas.
You Liberals will never get it, you are just the enemy with in, the minority we have to continually be bothered with to stamp down. Like a cancer you are.
Hey, get back on the Iran story. Next week is D-day, are you seeing whats happening?? Showdown.
What else matters if we all end up getting sucked into this potential global war.
Iran situation maybe ending peacefully? Negative.
Fareed, you all all media should be back covering this situation. The other stuff doesnt matter if we are all going to war, this may trigger a new WWar sadly.
Anyone who thinks that the "Iran situation" will end peacefully is delusional. And as for sancions working, as I predicted HERE 3 months ago as rebuttal to Fareed, they haveindeed not worked...of course. Dictators oppress their peoples.
the facts, the history...from how N Korea got the bomb to what signal Iran has given in the past decade. Its all a charade, buying time to bury the ordinates now in that mountain. What do you think they have been doing the last two months while we "reschedule" the next talks? its a joke!
naive people are the problem. Naive politicians, naive and wishful media. Sanctions.
when have sanctions worked? its just a put off tactic. kick the can and buy time. those Mullahs could care less of the populations, just like all Dictators oppress their people.
when will people wake up?
–Israel wont fool around. Do you know your history since the holocaust? Do your know the 6 day war and how that unfolded? its happening all over again. The one thing you can say about Israel is that they DONT F AROUND. They take action.
and mark my words, June or July here you are going to wake up to the headlines that during the night while you slept, Israel went in hard. Big fire.

Please describe answers to my questions
After observing you for some time, I can't figure out what your agenda is. You seem to be too objective. However, I know that humans need a "boogy-man" to keep their heads from exploding from confusion. So my question is this; Are you actually a Robot?
After our response to the Libyan crisis, why is the U.S. being so hesitant to aid Syrians?
Check any violent attacks around the world you'll find the mighty and ferocious cowardly Islamics 95% of the time. They've handily taken over all of N. Africa and the middle East over the last 500 years, pushing out every other group. Now Europe(stan). Soon, SE Asia starting with Thailand. Any comments, oh people with head in the sands of time?
How come Islame so............lame? Hahahahahahahaha
Are you a Shape Racist? If you are not you should change the name of your program to "Global Public Triangle" or some other shape. You Shape Racist you!
I must say that my knowlege increase whenever I listen and read your comentary.
I will be posting questions and comments in the near future.
I'm a U.S. student studying in Lebanon. Can you bring attention to the increased violence in Lebanon as a result of regional actors involvement in the local corruption of domestic politics in Lebanon? The Hizbollah-Syrian-Iran alliance is a geopolitical issue exemplified in the sectarian conflicts that take place in Lebanon. Understanding the politics in Lebanon is not an easy task but identifying the issues here sheds light on the ongoing tension between powerful state actors. The support of Iran and Syria from China and Russia and North Korea resonates in Lebanese affairs. These countries strategic alignment illustrates their intent to position themselves to counter the balance of power between the U.S., Saudi Arabia, Israel and the West. Please discuss this dynamic. Lebanon is a small country with limited resources, however, power state actors realize its strategic importance.
What do you think will happen to Iran in the current and coming year? Will Israel and U.S. strike Iran? And How about Kurdistan? What do you think will happen to Kurdistan? Will Kurds of Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Syria unite in a Kurdistan government? What's your take on these?
Mr. Farfeed: I am a veteran of the US Military, (Cpt US Army Corp of Engineers.) I watch youir program every week on Sunday b/c I feel you do a fair and objective job in reporting the news and doing the guest interviews at CNN. I'd BHO that most all Americans are very interested in today. I know I am. Who is BHO? After reading the reviews on his new biography that he wrote himself.......he answered the greatest question of all for me. How does BHO view America? How does he perceive Americans think of or see him as their President. He instinctly knows that most Americans BHO said in his book he has never really felt comfortable with how he himself view him a man who carries no roots, no hertiage to America, and out of touch with our values most Ameircans share about this great nation. They see him as a man who struggles to represent their inner most feelings about America and see his decision making reflecting that. Especially on worldly decisions with Middle Eastern Countries. BMO was raised in his early childhood in Malaysia by a father who was a Muslim and not an American. And a mother who was American and was white. America still hesitates to accept BMO as a man who connects with them on our real values, our llove forf this great nation, and our unifying bond that he was never raised with as a Muslim in Malaysia as a young adult in his formative years. Americans would like to know what you can reveal for them so they can feel good at the polls when they vote.
I curious to know why when Paul Krugman made the statement that Europes problems are because of tighter monetary policy and that's why the Euro Zone ois calappsing Fareed Zakaria took it as fact. This is nonsense and most of America knows it isn't the belt tightening that is Eurpoes problems it was the long history of absurd spending. This lie continues and continues in the media as we watch our naiton itself go into financial difficulty. I'm a Democrat and I kn0w this is just plain nuts and a crazy point of view and I want to know why you tolerate it?
Mr. Krugman gets more press than any other economist in the U.S. You devoted a large portion of your program to him. Krugman already has a column in the NYT. He's interviewed every week on MSNBC and Charlie Rose. My point is that you should invite other economists (Keynesian or not). Krugman is not the only economist out there. Considering how critical economic policy is to our future, it's time that the media (GPS included) offer more voices, more perspectives.
Agreed, Fareed should interview Paul Craig Roberts
Two questions maybe not so simple
1. Italy's PM claims that the grow must be shared throughout Europe for the southern EU countries to prosper without implementing spending reductions. Growth is the drug addiction of wasteful spending governments. But there is not enough growth to go around for the entire world to spend like recent governments want to spend. First question: Is there enough global growth for all the existing "first" world countries to have the revenues required to balance their budgets?
2. A global government bond where all nations would guarantee the debts of any nation is bigger than the EU Bond. Don't we have to identify what the roll of governments should be before redistributing global wealth for the good of mankind. This concept can be made smaller like German vs Italy or even Domestic like Texas vs California.
If the wording of these questions is not clear it is because I have a hard time defining the issues. Defining the issues is the reason for me sending the questions to you.
I have great respect for you and your show. I also follow you on twitter. I just ordered your two books from Amazon and I plan to broaden my view of the world.
What would motivate poor people to vote? Do they understand they can get anything they want if they join forces?
Are the politicians afraid to point that out? What would bring the rich and the poor closer to wanting the same social services from the government?
Blaming the teachers for poor schooling hurts public education. Is our nation suffering from rising dropout rates? Does weakened public education discourage voting?
WHERE ARE THE JEWS? Why is no one addressing how weak & alone the Jewish Nation has become under O'bama?
I voted for him but I genuinely FEAR another 4 years of his monarch type of runaway policies. Jimmy Carter # Ii. I NEVER thought I would EVER agree with ANY of the latter Bush's military policies...until NOW, seeing all of his accomplishments dismantled by O'bama.
Why are you not talking about Dr. Ben Carson???
