Google knew about the dispute over the body of water which has been known in history as the Persian Gulf and is now also claimed to be the Arabian Gulf. Iranians and Arabs, each say their name is the only one that should be used. So Google tried to calm the Iranians and said that it did not name every place in the world.

Question No. 4: "The U.S. last week granted a visa to the daughter of which world leader?" Answer: Raul Castro! Since when is Raul Castro seen as a "world leader"?
Technically, he is. He is a leader in his country, and his country is in this world. Just because you dislike him, doesn't make him NOT a world leader.
Every country in the world should be mad at Googoo for being both the worlds worst privacy rights invader and the worlds most flagrant itellectual property thief. Hopefully, the EU will stop Googoo in its tracks, since US politicians have all been bought by Googoo and US voters are too fat, lazy and happy to want to give up the services that Googoo 'gives them for free'...

since when could anyone claim its the arabian gulf? it is the persian gulf ............that would be like changing the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. plus dont the arabians already have a sea named after them lol? they are that greedy?
And Persia was always known as Persia, until they changed it to Iran. Why is it so ridiculous to change a name, or would that conflict with your knowledge of geography?
The name of that body of water has always been known as the Persian Gulf. This is beyond ridiculous. It is not as if Arabs are lacking a body of water – there is already an Arabian sea between the Arabian peninsula and the Indian peninsula.
