On GPS Sunday: How accurate is Zero Dark Thirty?

"Fareed Zakaria GPS," Sundays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET on CNN

On GPS this week, Fareed hosts a special Oscar night panel. Blockbuster movie “Zero Dark Thirty” raises some important questions about torture. Is it necessary? Did it really lead to the capture of Osama bin Laden? Fareed talks to former CIA Director Michael Hayden and others about waterboarding, interrogation techniques, the ethics of drones, hacking, and more.

Plus, what are the Earth’s plans for defense against the next big meteor or asteroid? Do we even have one? Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson has the answers.

And in What in the World, why a body of water the size of the Dead Sea has gone missing from the Middle East.

Torture is illigal under Geneva Convention that we signed. It is barbarism that only Bush and others are capable of , including violent criminals. It is immoral.

Quite true rightospeak, but that doesn't stop the right-wing thugs in Washington from ordering it nor do they even care as long as it's the politically popular thing to do! These people work for the M.I.C. and it's these people who run things in Washington D.C.!

Al Queda really follows the Geneva Convention. Come on people we're not fighting Germans or Russians anymore. This is their "Holy War", not the same thing at all.Go back and watch the burning of the twin towers, the people jumping out of the windows to their death, the murder and destruction at the pentagon, and the memorial of where flight 93 went down.

What would anyone with any intelligence at all expect this clown Michael Hayden to say? Of course he's going to condone these tortures by calling them something else. The way these political prisoners are treated at Gitmo is truly a national disgrace!

Michael Hayden, Director of Central Intelligence: "Well Fareed, we waterboarded only 3 people."

How do you take a show about asteroids and turn it in to some ridiculous anti American drivvle?
When discussing blowing up an asteroid, the astrophysicist comments that we humans are good at blowing things up, not so good at figuring out where the pieces land. Zacharia says "ah yes, a metaphore for America". How about a metaphor for islamofascist extremists, terrorists?? Get a clue Fareed

Wow. An episode of GPS to give a forum to war criminals to justify and make myths about torture. How far you have fallen Fareed. What a disgrace. Though Leni Riefenstahl would have been proud.

On the question of torture and other agressive military behavior: As long as you believe that you can influence others through fear, you go down the broad path to perdition, dragging many innocents with you. Only the disarming power of compassion, and the positive development of trust, work effectively and permanently. This message of wisdom has been with us forever, taught again and again by all the sages. We ttoo many live still in very dark ages.

They...can runaway for a while, but they can not hide, from US.

    AMERICA, THE BEAUTIFUL.

No matter, where you(most people) live in Planet Earth, you love to live, study and work in America.
Even the processes are not quiet simple. You have to pass certain requirements.

So, are we really blaming America, from our heart?

America is the safest place in the World.

America is the HOLLY place, for anyone who are eager to worship his/her own God.

America knows how to govern and what to do.

America is the last destination for anyone, whether to do business or whatever goodwill.

Most of you, look around, you even hated by your own people.

If America freezes its power Worldwide just for a Week, the World populations will act wild and killed each other.

    In Almighty God, we trust.

In the movie there are many scenes that show Pakistan helping the americans but at the same time the lead through the terrorists caught has single handedly been done by the cia. Movie was confusing!!!
But the good thing on the news is that chuck hagel defense secretatry has confirmed that fareed'z india has been financing terror in Pakistan through afghan militants.
