As 2013 draws to a close, Global Public Square would like to thank its readers, writers and guests for their support, encouragement and engagement this year. We are also pleased to announce that GPS was this week named one of popular news aggregator RealClearWorld’s top five websites for international affairs opinion, alongside publications including Foreign Policy and The Economist.
We look forward to more lively analysis and discussion of international issues in 2014, but in the meantime, please feel free to check out our ’14 in 2014’ series looking at what next year might have in store for key countries.
And we would also like to hear from readers about their take on what we should be keeping an eye on next year. Which countries will surprise us? Which global issues will be at the forefront of global conversation next year? Please leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

Fareed makes it possible to keep up with resonant world issues. Thank you Fareed.
hahaha what a load of incestuous insiders you all are!
What does 'best' even mean?
Real Clear World seems only to be aware of the 'official', paid for, mainstream media.
What about corbettreport.com?
That's real journalism. Not this corporate CFR political slagging off your enemies propaganda that goes on here
Stop censorship and you will get more credibility.
Keep letting that werty56479 QQQQ Latino Manure Spewer continue to pollute the blog with his incessant spam and you'll be the best of something else.
Fareed, you should have more challenging issues on your website! Some of them are uninteresting, out of political point of view.
Lol i TOTALLY agree with @ RZ! That garbage really needs to go to the curbside somewhere else!
And i also agree with @ Jal. I do enjoy Fareeds threads most.
