Let's be honest: Islam has a problem today

Watch "Fareed Zakaria GPS," Sundays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET on CNN

By Fareed Zakaria

When television host Bill Maher declares on his weekly show that "the Muslim world...has too much in common with ISIS," and the author, Sam Harris (a guest on his show) concurs, arguing that "Islam is the mother lode of bad ideas," I understand why people get upset. Maher and Harris made crude simplifications and exaggerations.

And yet, they were also talking about something real. I know all the arguments against speaking of Islam as violent and reactionary. It is a vast world of 1.6 billion people. Places such as Indonesia and India have hundreds of millions of Muslims who don't fit these caricatures. That's why Maher and Harris are guilty of simplification and exaggeration.

But let's be honest: Islam has a problem today...There is a cancer of extremism within Islam today. A small minority of Muslims celebrate violence and intolerance, and harbor deeply reactionary attitudes towards women and minorities. And while some moderates confront these extremists, not enough do so and the protests are not loud enough. How many mass rallies have been held against ISIS in the Arab world today?

But now the caveat, Islam today, is important.

Islam has more than a "problem". Islam is a false religion based on the ancient Arab moon god. That's who Allah is. Before Muhammed moved in to spread his "religion" [he believed was being dictated to by Satan himself (read the Koran...it's in there)] Arabian tribes had a different god for each month. Muhammed picked Allah, the Arab moon god, to be the "god" of his new monotheistic religion, which is actually a cult. Allah is not the Judeo-Christian God of Abraham and Moses. Allah is a false god and Muhammed is a false prophet.

Numerous glaring examples of Muhammed's lies are clear in the Koran itself. One such example is the idea that the mother of Mary (mother of Jesus) was the first cousin of Moses, whose mother was supposedly the sister of Mary's mother. That's just chronologically impossible.

Muhammed told his wife (again, in the Koran) that he believed Satan was trying to deceive him. His wife told him to stop thinking that way; that it was Allah who was speaking to him. Muhammed himself believed Satan was speaking, not Allah, much less the Judeo-Christian God.

Islam is a lie. It is not a religion. Allah is not God. Allah was the Arab moon god. Muhummed's only messages came, as he believed, from Satan himself. People need to stop comparing Islam with Christianity, or Christ the Messiah with Muhammed. Muhammed offered no salvation, only death and destruction. Only evil acts supposedly get people into heaven in Islam. Christ offered pure salvation based on faith.

To the Muslims: You are doomed. Turn away from your ancient Arabian moon god and turn toward the true God. There is only one God, and He is not Allah.

Islam practices extremism in most parts of its global domain. It is not just terrorist murderers, but the "normal" faithfu who tear into nonbelievers with prejudice and hatred and l. In Indonesia, where the largest population of muslims live, there has been violence carried out against nonbelievers for decades (http://www.arabtimesonline.com/NewsDetails/tabid/96/smid/414/ArticleID/165351/reftab/96/t/Muslims-burn-churches-in-Indonesia/Default.aspx). In 2013 the Human Rights Watch called on the government of Indonesia to end church demolitions and persecution of Christians (http://www.hrw.org/news/2013/03/25/indonesia-order-end-church-demolitions). The same that has occurred in Egypt and many other so called "tolerant" muslim countries. Now we have ISIS...when will this stop?

The Muslim people must either stand up and stop this, or endure isolation. It is YOUR religion that has been hijacked. You need to stop it, not someone else...YOU! The claim that Islam is peaceful and tolerant is wrong and is not an excuse for you to turn a blind eye to your leaders and religious theocracy. You need to make some major changes, and do it quick. The world is watching you you!

How is this different from Christianity? Ours is, frankly, a bloody religion. We engage in cannibalism weekly and our primary symbol, which we erect on our temples and wear around our necks, is a means of execution and torture. In Christ's name, many of our comrades spew vitriol and anger at others. Look at what happened when Muslims just tried to erect a mosque in Murfreesboro, TN. Look at the subjugation of women in many denominations. Look at the denigration of gays, divorcees, atheists, etc. Christians do NOT have clean hands.

Islam inspires me to do charitable acts everyday, and I understand that the "sword" verses refer to Mecca during the time of the Prophet. If violent acts are committed in the name of Islam, they are nothing more than justifications for personal enrichment and empowerment. Look to the hundreds of millions of peaceful Muslims if you want to truly understand Islam.

If you are naive enough to believe Islam is peaceful then you need to open your eyes and understand the archaic practices and rules are very discriminating and suppressing especially to muslim women. Muslim women need to unify to change the suppressing ways they are treated. This is 2014 not 600 AD. Modesty should be a personal decision as far as how the women view themselves. However, wearing the ridiculous black "dress" is totally suppressing and outdated. It is total suppression by the muslim men and needs to change. Muslim women should express their rights to dress and live how they so choose. Your religion should not run your lives. It is a personal choice to honor your God the way you choose.

Please don't drop your guard entirely. We all know that a young, disenfrachised American Muslim can be recruited by terrorists for nefarious activities. Many Americans have experienced difficulties financially. Young, frustrated men of any background are susceptible to being drawn into crime and violence.

It is all about politics and not religion. We do not live in the era of prophets or their appointees and groups or individuals claiming that they represent god on the earth are just misleading people who do not understand the real Islam.
Islam is against violence and terrorism and the political groups and regimes in the Middle East are using religion to take control of people destiny. We all know that the majority of the victims of the terrorist groups are Muslims.

Has anyone ever wondered that these terrorists groups never seem to talk about Israel? Curious isn't it? If they are so crazy why wouldn't they be speaking of setting Israel on fire or carry out attacks there since the existence of Israel is the biggest issue for even the moderate muslims. Seems like Israel funds these people to spread terror and chaos in the islamic world so that no single nation can be powerful enough to challenge it. Every religion speaks on violence and killings. Open the Bible or the old Testament and so does the Koran. But as far as I have compared the three, the Koran is the only one that seems just. Its laws are there to do what needs to be done.

You say the laws in the Koran seem just compared to the bible and the Old Testament. I say the secular laws of any modern nation, including those with with high Islamic populations, seem more just than the Koran.

      Mr. Superman,

I think you have either not read the whole Quran or you are simply trying to create a smokescreen.

Judaism has some rules which were used to regulate social interaction among the lay Israeli people during early centuries. Such rules were given because the people were hard-hearted that they would not accept punishments which were less retributive. So the eye for an eye and similar rules were meant to reflect the mental consciousness of the time.

Christianity- Perhaps Christianity is the purest in terms of violence. In no where in the New Testament you find a verse encouraging or condoning violence. Even when you are attacked because of your belief or otherwise, you are not expected to repulse rather pray for the persecutor. (Give the left cheek when someone beats your right)

Islam- Islam unlike Judaism and Christianity, it has numerous verses advocating violence. In Islam, you cannot befriend any non-believer, you can kill an someone who gave up Islam, you can defend Allah by force

For your info Please read the following verses taken from Quran and then tell us if Islam is moderate as you claimed

Quran (2:244) – "Then fight in the cause of Allah, and know that Allah Heareth and knoweth all things."

Quran (2:216) – "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not." Not only does this verse establish that violence can be virtuous, but it also contradicts the myth that fighting is intended only in self-defense, since the audience was obviously not under attack at the time. From the Hadith, we know that this verse was narrated at a time that Muhammad was actually trying to motivate his people into raiding merchant caravans for loot.

Quran (3:56) – "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help."

Quran (3:151) – "Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority". This speaks directly of polytheists, yet it also includes Christians, since they believe in the Trinity (ie. what Muhammad incorrectly believed to be 'joining companions to Allah').

Quran (4:74) – "Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward." The martyrs of Islam are unlike the early Christians, who were led meekly to the slaughter. These Muslims are killed in battle as they attempt to inflict death and destruction for the cause of Allah. This is the theological basis for today's suicide bombers.

Quran (4:76) – "Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah…"

Quran (4:89) – "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks."

Quran (4:95) – "Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward,-" This passage criticizes "peaceful" Muslims who do not join in the violence, letting them know that they are less worthy in Allah's eyes. It also demolishes the modern myth that "Jihad" doesn't mean holy war in the Quran, but rather a spiritual struggle. Not only is the Arabic word used in this passage, but it is clearly not referring to anything spiritual, since the physically disabled are given exemption. (The Hadith reveals the context of the passage to be in response to a blind man's protest that he is unable to engage in Jihad and this is reflected in other translations of the verse).

Quran (4:104) – "And be not weak hearted in pursuit of the enemy; if you suffer pain, then surely they (too) suffer pain as you suffer pain..." Is pursuing an injured and retreating enemy really an act of self-defense?

Quran (5:33) – "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"

Quran (8:12) – "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle.

Quran (8:15) – "O ye who believe! When ye meet those who disbelieve in battle, turn not your backs to them. (16)Whoso on that day turneth his back to them, unless maneuvering for battle or intent to join a company, he truly hath incurred wrath from Allah, and his habitation will be hell, a hapless journey's end."

Quran (8:39) – "And fight with them until there is no more fitna (disorder, unbelief) and religion should be only for Allah" Some translations interpret "fitna" as "persecution", but the traditional understanding of this word is not supported by the historical context (See notes for 2:193). The Meccans were simply refusing Muhammad access to their city during Haj. Other Muslims were allowed to travel there – just not as an armed group, since Muhammad had declared war on Mecca prior to his eviction. The Meccans were also acting in defense of their religion, since it was Muhammad's intention to destroy their idols and establish Islam by force (which he later did). Hence the critical part of this verse is to fight until "religion is only for Allah", meaning that the true justification of violence was the unbelief of the opposition. According to the Sira (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 324) Muhammad further explains that "Allah must have no rivals."

Quran (8:57) – "If thou comest on them in the war, deal with them so as to strike fear in those who are behind them, that haply they may remember."

Quran (8:67) – "It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he had made a great slaughter in the land..."

Quran (8:59-60) – "And let not those who disbelieve suppose that they can outstrip (Allah's Purpose). Lo! they cannot escape. Make ready for them all thou canst of (armed) force and of horses tethered, that thereby ye may dismay the enemy of Allah and your enemy."

Quran (8:65) – "O Prophet, exhort the believers to fight..."

Quran (9:5) – "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them."

Just to show how full of crap you and people like you are, I will give you an example on how you narrow minded racist Eurocentric Jesus freaks omit verses from Quran to make things look -worse- than they really are. I'm an atheist, an ex-Muslim, I have studied Islam for 12 years, I'm not "defending" Islam here, Islam is as stupid as any Abrahamic religion (or -any- other religion). There is a difference between pointing out flaws in a religious text, and forging "facts" out of your back side to fuel your often hidden racist agenda.

Quran 3:151 to 3:156 -strictly- talks about Battle of Uhud (March 19, 625 AD); can you even read?! I mean you took the time to find a single verse that talks about "terrorizing nonbelievers" but didn't even bother to follow up a few more verses?! I can't believe it, I do believe that you read the rest and realized if you include them they will not fit your racist agenda so you just omitted the rest and kept the "terror" part! Confirmation bias anyone?! What you did in your comment is a textbook example of contextomy!

When people joined Muhammed and they were -forced- to leave Mecca or face death, all their properties were seized by the said "nonblievers" in that verse, that lead to Battle of Badr (March 13, 624 AD) and then Battle of Uhud (March 19, 625 AD).

Muslims were victorious in Battle of Badr, and later defeated in Battle of Uhud. They didn't follow Muhammed's commands towards the end of the battle and it resulted in the defeat and death of a large group of Muslims. At least try to read the details in Wikipedia! That's the -least- you can do!

Now it is -you-, a non-Muslim, a Christian I presume, who is expanding this verse from those few "nonbelievers" who killed Meccan Muslims, forced the rest out of Mecca, and took their possessions as a form of punishment, to EVERYONE other than Muslims, including Christians (because of the stupid concept of "trinity")!

That is flat wrong, it's just dead wrong!! It does not talk about ANYTHING other than what happened on March 19, 625 AD in Battle of Uhud ! When someone like -you- interprets a simple Quranic historical reference and expands it to cover every single non-believer, I can clearly see how idiots like Taliban, al-Qaeda, and ISIS can freely interpret verses for whatever agenda they have! In principle, you are no better than those rag-head terrorist mullahs, you are all perverting Islam and Quran to fit your own agenda.

Contextomy is the name of the game, and you people are good at it ! Beside worshiping the God of Abraham, and believing in Semitic fairy tales, contextomy is one of the traits you share with Bin Laden and al-Baghdadi ! Congratulations !

There is not a shred of proof -of any kind- that Israel supports Islamic extremism. I'm angry and disappointed that thats morning Fareed Zakaria faulted Sam Harris and Bill Maher for their comments that the Islam religion harbors inhumane ideas that are a menace and threaten world peace. He statres that Moslem nations were home to vast numbers of Christians and Jews in the past but neglects to state that more than 90% were forced to leave or be behewaded in recent years. That Islam is an intolerant religion. That over 70% of Moslems agree with death to apostates, stoning to death of adulteresses, that women are second class citizens, and killing authors and cartoonists that' defame' Mohammed. And finally, Fareed Zakaria should have prefaced his remarks by pointing out he was born a Moaslem, and maybe still is. I have lost all respect for his integrity. His dishonesty is evident from his past as Wikopedia states he has been accused of a plagerism in his past. . I will no longer listen to anything he says.

It appears to me that Muslims are the fastest growing segment of world society today. As others are withering away the Muslims seem to be rising again with their contributions as was the case historically when they ruled India and Europe and left behind a legacy of science, art, architecture, culinary et al. One only needs to go to Spain and India to witness this.

What really pleasantly surprised me was what I witnessed in the Middle East. A tolerant and progressive Islamic society that has come so far in a few years. Most importantly providing job and economic opportunities to all, Hindus/Indians, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Europeans, Americans, Africans, South Americans, Chinese, and Russians etc.

Never have I witnessed such openness and equal opportunities unless you go back to the times of Muslim rule in India and Spain. My conclusion is that the Muslims get it. They are striving to once again take their leadership role in the world order and take this civilization to its next level of excellence.

The climb to success and progress is not a linear curve but a stochastic one. Let us join in wishing our Muslim brethren well and much success in their endeavors. If we can't help them let's not pull the rug from under them.

Could you be more specific about WHERE excatly you have observed this Islamic Renaissance? Did you observe a true middle class? Did you observe gender equality? To say that they have made "progress"" would be simply unacceptable. It would be like saying that the Nazis would have improved their moral standing in the world if they had progressively killed less and less jews (and others) during the Holocaust. In the 21st century, any society in the world that has not adopted the evolutionary memo about democracy and legal equality are simply BARBARIAN in the eyes of Western Culture. There is no "rebirth" in Islam. I've been there, maybe not extensively but I observed what could best be described as 80% Middle Ages and 20% tourist-driven consumption.

The health care system is poor, just about every public service you can think of is poor, the people are struggling to make a living, sanitary conditions are hundreds of years behind the West (you still cannot greet, eat, or make contact with your left hand), the list goes on.

What Zakaria ignores about Mahar's argument is the 'connective tissue' point. That is the high percentages of Muslims in Muslim lands that believe death to people who go to bed with the wrong people or death to ex-Muslims. This remission only undermines his argument that there is nothing inherently wrong with Islam. There is something wrong..it refuses to be self-corrective. I find you have to watch this guy as he is good in getting people to take their eye off the ball.

Most Moslems epitomize the very meaning of the Islamic flag and what it stands for. A deeply ingrained personification of the love for people of all cultures, religion, and creed. Very few cultures can claim this. But Moslems walk the walk and talk The talk. An example for all neighbors and global powers alike.

It's not about any religion or belief system it's about the mind bending by the rich and powerful over the poor and oppressed. I have read the Koran and find very little difference to the HB so it's down to the manipulators. Have just returned from the Turkish/Syian border where the people tell a different story to that being told by the media. From China to Africa to Europe to India, the Moslems dominated the land and built an unmatched empire. They had the will, wealth and intellect to build a masterpiece of a culture so sensuous, so intellectual, and rich and powerful that propelled the world out of dark ages.

The Moslem empire was the apogee of knowledge, hope and harmony. An epicenter of mathematics, art, history, astronomy, architecture, medicine, music, and culinary delights.

The Islamic Civilization story is an incredible story. A story that is systematically being written out of history. It is a forgotten chapter in western history. But we will not let it die. We will never let it be forgotten. In fact, we will bring these marvelous contributions of Moslems to the forefront and grace it with a bouquet full of colorful flowers.

"the Moslems dominated the land and built an unmatched empire"
And how did they dominate? By using their self-proclaimed principle (enunciated in that Koran) of forcing their religion down the throat of others, especially ones they conquered. This religion was spread by the sword. That is how they "dominated." I agree, this should not be forgotten by hisptry – these multiple massacres, exterminations and holocausts by Moslems under the justification by their Koran should never be forgotten.

Sir, you live on a different Planet and in another century, roughly during the high-point of the Ottoman Empire. What you are describing is an utter fantasy, and it would be amusing if it were not for the hundreds of thousands of people who have diied thus far in this most recent round of arab-on-arab carnage. The contributions of Islam to "western culture" (which it IS NOT) date back to the 13th and 14th centuries. Only 10 Nobel Prizes have been awarded to people from Islamic societies/countries ...ever. TEN!! As an unsavory but illustrative counterpoint Jews have recieved 125 thus far. This is not at all about the Jews' accomplishments but rather Islam's failure to harbor a culture of knowledge, curiosity and invention. With the largest population in the world, it constributes very little to humanity in the way of evolutionary progress. In other words, it is a regressive belief system (according to the stats).

All these references to past glories of Islamic civilization in "Blue Saffron" posts neglect to reflect how little of their science and philosophy was original with them. The fact is that they were lucky to absorb the civilizations that survived Alexander's empire, and so had the flower of Greek innovation and science to themselves while Christian Europe was burning the legacy left by Rome.

As the West put aside its tradition of hate and violence and created the Western world of today, the Islamic renaissance turn in on itself and has been devouring its inheritance for generations. Any civilization that has to look back 5,10 or more centuries to find anything creative except for its wars is bereft and needs to be radically reformed - and not the way the Shi'ites and Sunnis are going about it today. If the Islamic world continues of the path of the past 100 years, the result will be a vast reduction in the 1.6 billion Muslims in the world today.

I for one am not an apologist for Islam. Islam has been around for thousands of years. Many books have been written and translated on Islam. It is one of the, if not the largest, religion in the world. It is the fastest growing. It is a way of life. Islam has a rich legacy that is out there for everyone to see.

Islam has a problem? Islam IS the problem! Now don't get me wrong I believe all religions are a problem, but clearly Islam is by far the worst. Founded by a child molester, who brainwashed followers into thinking 'jihad' and murder of innocents and non-believers is ok. And now this ISIS group. Enough is enough. Islam is a plague that must be exterminated.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW..DON'T TALK....FOR YOUR INFORMATION...AND FOR EVERYONE'S INFORMATION....JIHAD MEANS TO STRIVE AND STRUGGLE...NOT TO KILL..IS IT MOST OF THE MUSLIMS FAULT THAT SOME PEOPLE HAVE BAD INTENTIONS?..EVERY RELIGION HAS PROBLEMS...ITS THE PEOPLE WHOSE RELIGION IS BAD...MY RELIGION DOESN'T SAY GO KILL EVERYONE...SO PLEASE DON'T TALK WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW...

Adam, in the 7th century, it was tough for almost all girls. Imagine yourself as a 10 year old where your father is just waiting for you to go through menarche so he can get you out of his house and make some money on a dowry. If Muhammad was a crib raider, what was the girl's father? While I don't support any religion, there's no need to single out one person when everyone back then was doing that. Times have changed and I fully support stopping all child marriages so all children may have the time and space to grow up and enter a marriage as an equal when they are ready.

Did you expect the father of the girl to challenge the "prophet"? You must be kidding.
In many cultures, girls were a 'liability' because the father had to provide a dowry. Most families are poor, so girls are a financial burden. Pathetic logic, and it is pervasive. The older the girls, the bigger the dowry. You can go from there.
This logic is still present to this day, and in many places of the world, some may even surprise you.

Problem is, although it was acceptable behavior in the 700s, it isn't today.
But many Muslims worldwide think of Mohammed as the ideal person and role model for *today*. This clearly isn't the educated elite we're speaking of, but the vast illiterate masses, and there are many of those.
The illiterate underprivileged are generally more susceptible to bad things even without role models. With improper role models they are worse.

Many moderates wants to protest against extremists that are destroying their faith. But they lack the security to protect them against these extremists, before, during and after the protest. It is like appearing as a witness against a drug gang leader. Your testimony will assist the proescutors to jail him but you will not go home and sleep in peace. His members will come after you and your family. The muslem world lacks the democracy that will ushing in rule of law and security for moderates to defend their faith against the current stonghold by extremists. Many thanks Fareed for being honest.

I have no Muslim friends. That is a problem of geography. My only knowledge of Islam comes from reading the Koran. There are enough passages that can be used as readily as the Bible was used in the Crusades to justify the slaughter and dehumanization on any group or race. So, once again, there is no moral high ground. It is a problem that was, recently, created by national colonialism, and continued by the colonialism of greed. The systemic destruction of tribal cultures for monetary gain.

It doesn't matter what religion you choose, you can find passages in it that can be abused, and beliefs that are plain silly or worse.
But most people know not to take them seriously.

The real problem lies with the people who don't. These largely fall in the poorer, less literate sections of society/the world. Back when the western world was full of such people, we had Christian extremists. In fact you can *still* find Christian extremists in many parts of the world, only they don't kill; they go about hectoring and disparaging other people for their religious beliefs and think it is their rightful duty to do so.

The Muslim world, unfortunately, largely as a result of history and geography, has much more than its fair share of illiterate underprivileged. Ergo, you are much more likely to find beliefs in the less logical/rational aspects of their religion prevalent among them.

You wont find many Muslims from the educated / well-to-do strata of society goign out on Jihad (sure you find a few, but they are about the same fraction as other kinds of morons from other segmetns of society). Its just that they form, by far, a small fraction of Muslims around the world. The average muslim is illiterate and poor.

The Islamic clerics and leaders need to be more vocal in pointing out the heretics of those committing violence and killings. Perhaps, if there are any wrong interpretations of the Quran, or wrong applications of their Sharia Laws, they should point these out; so, that other Muslims not fallen into these evil ways.

We need to have a dialogue about what is happening in the world today. Name calling and blame isn't going to allow that to happen. It's completely counter productive. Islam has a bad image, yes, but so does Christianity. Claiming that ISIS, Al-Queda, Hamas and the rest of the extremeist groups are representative of all Muslims is like claiming that the Ku Klux Klan is representative of all Christians. Neither analogy is correct. So let's stop the "blame game" and try to work together to stop this madness.

Saf...that's due to high birth rates (no contraception available; women are enslaved to spawn bread-winners for the family like in the Middle Ages) and also growing prison populations (apparently conversion to Islam is one way of "escaping" from prison, in their minds). That Islam is growing among legions of poor and ignorant populations of the developing World is all the more worrisome because those people emmigrate to Western societies and proceed to impose there less-developed societal models on our own. In the UK, France,Germany and NL they are already passing legislation to control and head-off the islamization of our Civilization.

Breed like rabbits. Goes to show you that there are a lot of ignorant people in this world.
Communism spread much the same way. It feeds in the minds of the poor and illiterate, makes them think that they can be equal.
The difference between Communism and Islamism is that Communism can be quantified and proven as impractical or its not working. With religion, there is no quantification or accountability – until you are dead – and no one has managed to get back and say they got 40 virgins (with no mother-in-laws). Get real pal.

I don't care what either side says about Islam, but I do know if they want to stop extremist in their religion its time they use their armies and military to sequester this ISIS problem. The world has stepped into their issues to many times only to get the back lash of their beliefs. So if they want to stop this internal growth of extremism then they are ones that have to stop it. Here Turkey is sitting there just watching other Muslims die at their door step and asking America to clean up their problem. We cleaned up Iraq, but its up to Iraq these last 10 years to build their own Army but no they wanted the Americans out, and now they want us to help them because of a problem they should have solved many years ago. Its time America steps away and let them learn to solve their own internal issues, because once we step back in and clean up their mess we are still going to be their Devil to blame for their own ills.

So now what don't you understand about Islam, folks? Let us now solve the Palestinian problem and hold plebiscite in Indian Occupied Kashmir. These are both mandated by International law and UN Resolutions. If you don't we will get it done even if it takes thousands of years. If I can't my son will and his son will. Sharia law is very much in practice throughout the world today including the western nations. Take as an example Islamic Finance. It is a US $ 3.3 trillion business. Most of the largest global law firms have now embraced Islamic Finance.
Following the failure of western principles of global finance in 2008, Islamic Finance (based on Sharia Law) has now emerged as a much more ethical alternative.
