American innovation is in trouble

By Fareed Zakaria

If you ask people in Silicon Valley what makes it work, they will talk about many things — the ability to fail, the lack of hierarchy, the culture of competition. One thing almost no one mentions is the government. And yet, the Valley’s origins are deeply tied to government support. The reason there were so many engineers in California in the 1950s and 1960s was because large defense companies had attracted them there. Most of the legendary start-ups that fueled the computer revolution — Fairchild Semiconductor, Intel — got off the ground largely because the military, and later NASA, would buy their products until they became cheap and accessible enough for the broader commercial market. GPS, the technology that now powers the information revolution, was developed for the military.

And then there was government funding for research, which is sometimes thought of simply as large grants to universities for basic science but often was far more ingenious. My favorite example comes from Walter Isaacson’s fascinating new book, “The Innovators.” In the 1950s, the U.S. government funded a massive project at MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory, employing equal numbers of psychologists and engineers who worked together to find ways “that humans could interact more intuitively with computers and information could be presented with a friendlier interface.” Isaacson traces how this project led directly to the user-friendly computer screens of today as well as ARPANET, the precursor of the Internet.

Federal funding for basic research and technology should be utterly uncontroversial. It has been one of the greatest investments in human history. And yet it has fallen to its lowest level as a percentage of GDP in four decades.

I'm the one who created the skit where Rupert's mom enjoys watching him shove straws up frog butts and blowing them up into little balloons than make farting noises if you squeeze just right. And asked rupert if his fascination with Hindu goddess with fangs had anything to do with his mom having bad teeth when he was a little boy.

Me? I actually did used to blow up frogs. Not to squeeze them like rupert, but so they wouldn't sink when I threw them out on the pond and used them for target practice. I was hunting big game when I was just a pup. I also liked to take my shoes off and squish my toes in warm cow poop. While blowing soap bubbles. I kid you not.

I already told you why. The men of Pharmakia spray anti-bacteria aerosols over every city in the world, for many decades. It kills bacteria that naturally falls from a dust cloud that envelopes planet earth. If not enough of them fall alive, all sorts of bad things happen to people. Including that fish smell when a woman's delicate yeast-to-bacteria ratio goes askew. Herding the masses into their pharmacies for profit. To finance their most heinous deeds.

Get help. Shutting down these blogs should be secondary to being committed for your crimes. How long is Daddy going to pay off everyone before he decides you aren't worth the trouble?

Daddy's patience and bank account aren't going to be around forever. Better get right with your God now.

There is a person called "Chemtrails Over [insert city name]" for every freaking city on planet earth who will tell you what I just told you. Just because you live in your little locked gate community world does not mean these sorts of things shock everyone. Go play with your Barbie doll, kiddo. And leave the news to us grown ups.

For decades, men of science backed by government funding lied to us about a cloud of dust 5 miles up that envelopes planet earth. They told us it was just dust.
It was not until private researchers sent sample catching balloons into that dust cloud that we found out that 20% of it isn't dust. It's live bacteria that naturally fall to the earth. It was only a couple of years ago we found this out.

These same men of science backed by government funding also lied to about where AIDS came from. They say it came from Africa. A bold faced lie. (cite Dr. Alan Cantwell) The first reported death caused by the AIDS virus was in 1956 Germany, where AIDS came from. (A NAZI lab that was captured and smuggled into the USA via declassified US gov op Paperclip. The "Viral Cancer Research Project" it was called in the USA. But it was the same project only taking the already developed AIDS super virus and splicing chimpanzee genes to fool you dummies into thinking it came from Africa. Dumb dumb dumb Americans)

Personal hygiene has nothing to do with it. If enough bacteria get killed by men of Pharmakia before they reach the earth, you are going to get funky, lady. Bad bad funk too. Along with many other "allergies" and "ailments" and "syndromes" and "conditions" that ONLY the pharmacy offers relief for.
Dumb dumb dumb Americans. They think if it has a chimpanzee gene spliced into it, it came from Africa! I am not kidding. THAT'S how stupid Americans are these days. They believe just about everything men of goverbment funded science tell them! Not to mention actors on TV acting like news men. They believe them too! But won't give a fellow American 5 freaking minutes. They step over bums on the street unless he wearing a business suit.
