On GPS Sunday: Panetta on terrorism threat; Fareed on talk of military action; breaking down claims on Muslim immigration

Watch "Fareed Zakaria GPS," Sundays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET on CNN

On GPS this Sunday: Fareed offers his take on whether the calls for U.S. military intervention in the Middle East would help prevent the kinds of attacks seen in Paris last week.

Then, Fareed digs deeper into the issue with Leon Panetta, former Director of Central Intelligence, who looks at the terrorism threat in Europe, whether the United States is vulnerable as a target and what the U.S. should do to try to stop something similar happening here.

“You know, I think that what we've seen happening over these last few weeks, between what happened in Ottawa, what's happened in Paris and now what's happened in Belgium, is that we're entering a new and perhaps more dangerous chapter in the war on terrorism,” Panetta says.

Also on the show, Fareed speaks with Doug Saunders, an international affairs columnist for The Globe and Mail and the author of The Myth of the Muslim Tide: Do Immigrants Threaten the West? about claims there has been “an influx" of people from Muslim countries, and that they aren't assimilating into their host countries when they get there.

Plus, Fareed speaks with Malcolm Gladwell, who wrote in support of the broken windows theory in his famous book The Tipping Point, and Bernard Harcourt, who wrote a book called Illusion of Order: The False Premise of Broken Windows Policing, about that much-talked about issue.

Without imported Mexican workers the economy would really be in the tank. Not M1 tank. Plain old ordinary tank.
Why were they called "tanks" ? Any buddy here know? Doubt it. Ya'll is dumb. Except for Joey, of course.

It stems from WWI and the British; it was a code name given to them when they were still under development...due to their resemblence to another object whilst being transported. (Guess what that object is?)

Anything else, or are you going to continue to paint everyone with a broad paintbrush to make yourself feel superior?

(If you are talking about the origins of military tanks. If not, ok.)

Just look at the demeanor of these Terrorists. They have modeled their persona like hinddoou sadhus with long beards. Their acts are like that of a tantrik straight out of Mahabharata. Kid you not.

We believe that India poses a clear and present danger to the regional security of the world. Hindu cult extremism is on the rise and fanning all terrorism worldwide. Indians are the bankers to and financing terrorism and supporting Talibans and Al Qaeda and harboring them in India. Shame on these Indians. Like the NAZI's they need to be stopped forcefully and immediately without further ado.

I was very disappointed to hear Fareed use the phrase "one of the only." Obviously, only means one only. The correct phrase is "one of the few."

I grow weary of online abuse, Chrissy; one wonders why they feel entitled to do without repercussion.

And yet, cry persecution when it is returned.

To stop terror to a large extent all free countries have to religiously profile immigrants.Moslems have never assimilated throughout 1400 years of their history nor will they ever Their laws are not compatible with democracies. The root cause is the Koran and the hadith.unless these books are wiped out as these are the propaganda material ..there is not a chance of islamic terror ever stopping . The Govts are foolish to think and say terror and islam not synonymous.

Very soon America is going to be over populated by the Muslims and when they take over the key positions in this country then we will see what happens to the security of this country.
