On GPS Sunday: Albright and Brzezinski to discuss the latest on Ukraine

Watch "Fareed Zakaria GPS," Sundays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET on CNN

This Sunday on GPS: Fareed will be speaking live to former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski to discuss the latest developments in Ukraine, and what we should expect next.

Also on the show, China has eased its one-child policy – so why do so many families seem to be shunning the opportunity to have another one?

“Under the new rules, a second child could be allowed if just one of its potential parents was an only-child. The change impacts about 20 million Chinese. You’d imagine after decades of restrictions, many of them would jump at the chance to have a second child, right? Wrong.”

Also, Harvard professor and former Council of Economic Advisers Chairman Greg Mankiw makes the case that the “one percent” deserve their rewards.

Once again Obama draws another "red line" only to be countered by Putin shading the whole darn place in red. And any which way you break it down, the burden of costs are always the same way. Who pays for it? You pay for it! Don't forget, all governments and all their operations, whether clean or corrupt, are fueled by your sweat and blood. And when that runs out, they'll start selling off parts of the country to the highest bidder.

At least Obama drew a line and it's is more than GW bother with in Georgia. In the summer of 2008, the Russian military was a shadow of what it is now. However, challenging totalitarianism now will be less costly than continuing to do nothing again.

With the red ink slowly running out, any cost these days is too high. Hence, the lines once drawn in red ink are being drawn in blood. The Ukraine has essentially succeeded in brokering it's own demise rather than any good deal. Perhaps like a failed corporation it's assets will now be acquired in a more direct manner.

Exactly where does this Madleine Albright come off talking about "human rights abuses" anyway? This is the same Madeleine Albright who fought like a dog at the UN in order to keep the economic "sactions" against Iraq going year after year while all the time knowing the the children in that country were dying of both starvation and lack of medical equipment and supplies. In the end, more than 500,000 Iraqi children died and she knew it!!!!!!!!! This broad need to be indicted and tried as a war criminal!

Gee Quinton, you took the words right out of my mouth! Madeleine Albright needs to be indicted and brought to the ICC just for disgracing this country by representing it! She makes us all feel ashamed to be Americans and that infuriates me to no end!

Spot on! Also, let's not forget about Mr. Brezinski – the founding father of Taliban. Blind support for the then "Mujahideen", without accounting for the consequences, was one of the biggest strategic blunders (or maybe a calculated chaos, to ensure perpetual wars). They both have blood of hundreds of thousands on their hand.

It would be interesting to hear Ms. Albright's interpretation of the Budapest Memorandum of 1994, which was signed by President Clinton during the thine she was Secretary of State. If I understand that international Agreement signed by the USA, UK and Russia guarantees the territorial integrity of the Ukraine in return for the Ukraine giving up all its nuclear weapons. Does the guaranty of the United States give in an International Agreement means anything?

GPS might have asked Albright and Brzezinski for their opinion on having UN demand a plebiscite in Crimea similar to the one which resolved the Schleswig issue after World War I.

Just felt Fareed cut off Cohen because he didn't agree with his analysis, especially when Cohen addressed the legitimacy of the "current" government in Kiev.

Couldn't agree more, I was astounded to hear someone on MSM actually state the fact that current govt is not legit...no such declarations anywhere else

Tired old talking heads making grandioso statements about how the U.S. should respond to what is going on in Ukraine by referring to past events which no longer have relevance in today's world.

Havent we heard enough from M. Albright? I know i was done listening to her the minute she said "the killing of innocent children by US drones, as collateral damage!"

IS Fareed suffering from memory loss? He just said that Obama should think rethink talks on the missile shield in Europe. Stupid Obama is the one who abandoned talks on the previous missile shield. Is this going to be revisionist history again? Obama's inaction has led to this!!!

It was big mistake, that that Ukraine joined Non-proliferation of Nuclear weapons and become nuclear-weapon-free in 1996.

New world order is created against United States, at the expense of United States and the ruins of United States.
