Blasphemy and the law of fanatics

By Fareed Zakaria

When governments try to curry favor with fanatics, eventually the fanatics take the law into their own hands. In Pakistan, jihadis have killed dozens of people whom they accuse of blasphemy, including a brave politician,Salmaan Taseer, who dared to call the blasphemy law a “black law.”

We should fight the Paris terrorists. But we should also fight the source of the problem. It’s not enough for Muslim leaders to condemn people who kill those they consider as blasphemers if their own governments endorse the idea of punishing blasphemy at the very same time. The U.S. religious freedom commission and the U.N. Human Rights Committee have both declared that blasphemy laws violate universal human rights because they violate freedom of speech and expression. They are correct.

This is just heart wrenching. Lives of innocent people taken away in some hinddoou sacrificial ritual in the most barbaric way. What must have gone through their minds?
The torture, the humiliation, the terror, the pain and the agony.

What did these folks do to deserve this sacrificial ritual? That they were born in India in a predominantly Hinddoou culture? No one needs to go through this. I pray for their families. The sheer helplessness they will go through in the failed state of India.

Sixty-six per cent of women (between the ages of 18 and 29) in India were married before the age of 4, according to the National Family Health Survey-3. It is estimated that there are 23 million child brides in the country, around 50% of child brides globally. Global human rights NGO Breakthrough, working in districts of Hazaribagh and Gaya (in Bihar) and Ranchi in Jharkhand found that over 70% of women between the ages of 20-24 were married before 3.

The imposition, by either states or delirious gangs, of laws against "blasphemy" should be countered with lethal force when carried out against nonbelievers.

No it's not. It's how modern day leaders were able to get Americans to put their trust in money again after the Great Depression and Dust Bowl years. Not some action by founding fathers. And it worked. Today, almost all Americans believe that God wants them to be as filthy rich as their preachers and priests are. Almost every single American I know has placed his hopes for the future not in God, but in money.

I also cannot blaspheme against His prophet (D.D.A.).

That's right. It is against God's laws to curse at Him. And God's laws are higher than the laws of puny little men.

God's laws were written to serve a people who ALL rusted and believed in him. They simply cannot service a corrupted nation of peoples. That being the case, God's son was given authority to make a way for even corrupt people to be able to be found pleasing in God's eyes...as long as they repented for their sins, pai for their crimes, loved and prayed for even their enemies, and have intense love for one another. And to look after widows and orphans. No more animal sacrifices are necessary.

The Koran is not unlike rap "music". Much of, if not most of, today's popular rap/hip hop songs are rip-offs of old classic tunes. The Koran steals wisdom from the bible and re-words it to make it seem as if Mohammed wrote that song. But he didn't. He ripped it off and twisted it to suit himself.

It's as if someone turned the world upside down. Laws used to be for serving mankind. Now mankind has been hornswaggled into serving laws. Laws that keep changing and so much confusion ensues.

    January 13, 2015 at 9:20 am |
    • Philip

For example, the law of men once stated that No! You are NOT allowed to cheat on your wife nor are you permitted to sodomize her. And the very next day was changed to Go right ahead. Be my guest.

Hindus by far are the most disgusting people that i have ever come across in this world. Truly dirty and without any civic sense. Very unhygienic also. Of course without saying untrustworthy, violent and backstabbing. They bring to work that smelly curry oozing with oil

They say 95% of hindus don't have plumbing in their homes in India. They dig a hole in the fields to take a crap. Dry the stuff up and use for plastering their homes or as cooking fuel. Thats how the word dryvit came about.

They bottle the p iss and use in lieu of coffee first thing every morning. Watch out 7 11 customers!!

Father tries to kill 3-day-old girl in India

VIJAYAWADA: In a shocking incident, a man tried to kill his three-day-old baby girl at Wynchpet here on Saturday. As he did not want a girl child in his family, the father threw the baby on the ground and tried to strangle her with his legs.

The Carlyle Group/ENRON corporation stole over 100 billion of our dollars and used stolen funds to upgrade India's power grid bringing electricity to millions. And are currently charging Indians 3-5 times more for electricity than originally agreed upon.

...actually stole over 100 billion just from Californians. Not counting the other billions they stole from the rest of US.

It is about time hinddoous stood on their feet and quit begging with outstretched bowl seeking money, jobs, food, technological aid of all kinds. India has become a burden on the world, its neighbors and a liability. A cultural debacle, global capital of gang raipes, genocides, poverty stricken, cannibals, sponsor of terrorism, India has become a pariah nation that is being washed away like dirt alongwith its people that even its own government doesnt care to save.

It is US government debt and American people's private debt that is dragging down the world's economy, Joey. Get a clue. (if that's even you)

      January 13, 2015 at 9:31 am |
  26. Philip

If you total-up EVERYTHING that the US government owns...all lands, buildings, vehicles, holdings, etc, and multiply that number by a factor of 8 you will arrive at just how much money the US government owes the World Bank. America has already been sold down the river. It's just not that obvious yet. Especially to a blind and dumb average American.

Be thankful that jobs and factories have been exported overseas. If everything that Americans consumed was Made in the USA, there would be a dark cloud of pollution covering most of N. America, and we would all be wearing gas masks by now.

    January 13, 2015 at 9:43 am |
    • Philip

Americans consume about 1/3 of everything produced in the world yet are only 4% of world population. And account for roughly 41% of all pollution.
Are you absolutely sure that India is the problem?
