I love listening to Fareed's Take. This week was fascinating. All about how the intelligencia didn't know any of our problems were coming. I would like to point him to Sen. Bernie Sanders who has over the years warned of all the things that are now happening. So there is someone who knows, it's just the media isn't prepared to take Sanders seriously. It's too much of a threat to their financial aspirations and need for power!

The one big embarrassment to the Eisenhower Administration and all of us is that idiotic refusal of our own Secretary of State John Foster Dulles to shake hands with the then Chinese Foreign Minister Chou En-lai in Geneva in 1954. This made all of us appear to be hateful, belligerent warmongers which we are not.
Let's put the blame where it belongs, namely on my sweet, two-timing wife. She was the one who told me never to shake hands with Chinese Foreign Minister Chou En-Lai or any other Communist official. That broad had more hate in her than the whole Union Army during the Civil War much like Reagan's wife.

The Isis problem is nothing compared to the potential problem from Nigeria .
With a population expected in 35 years of 400 million and an average age in the twenties Nigeria will be a hot bed of extremists if we don't address the poverty corruption and global inequality that currently exist there.
Such a large population with disaffected youth can lead to extremism that will make Isis look like the true varsity team.
The real problem with extremism is the global economic inequality which makes those disaffected lash out.
Don't ignore 400 million young people with hatred in their hearts

Regarding your Sunaday's (6/5) comment on the U.S.'s immigration history, your were at the best misleading regarding our performance in WW II. You said that although there was a large portion of our population opposed to letting Jews immigrate, our leaders came through. Nothing could be further from the truth. If in fact we did anything for the Jews, it was only after we allowed 6 million of them to be murdered. One difference between then and now–Jews were not objected to because of a fear there were terrorists, but only because they were Jewish.

I do understand your engagements in other issues of the world but keeping in views the human cost of this subject,methinks it will be highhandedness if your program does not take notice of the huge killings of innocent human being.
Growing trends and tendencies of war and genocide in Middle East and their,s lieutenants in Pakistan and across the western world can not be at all ignored for debate in order to know the methodology eminent politician and thinkers of the world are suggesting and advocating to address this anti-human approaches, getting approval of a large segments of MUSLIM WORLD rapidly.

While the bible (Pentateuch) and the Quran both legislate capital punishment for numerous offenses the Jewish tradition has an oral law and a legislative tradition which has relegated these offenses to near total inapplicability i.e. The act must be witnessed and accompanied by "warnings" immediately prior to the offense. Such interpretation resulted in the Talmud declaring that a court that would apply the capital punishment more frequently than once in seventy years was deemed "murderous"
If Islam had a similar religious/legislative tradition it would be viewed in an entirely different way
I really enjoying listening to Mr. Zakaria analyses. He connects the dots, so a viewer/reader of his analyses understands the reasoning behind his comments. I wish that my professors' lectures during my college days were as crisp, concise and informative as his presentation.
I thought Malcom Gladwell's comments re the Olympics and breaking them up into sections was really silly and misses the reasons for having the Olympics. International camaraderie, having all sports represented to allow for featuring minor sports, creating a festival of sport, etc are good goals that would be missed by carving out track and field and related sports and having them compete in Sweden as proposed. We have that essentially now with world championships periodically. Would suggest he needs to really rethink an argument that had little merit and no cogency.
I appreciate and truly feel for what happened last night in NY, MN, etc; however, "these days" is much to common; hate to say this, but almost the norm. I hate that CNN would CUT-OFF Fareed's show that provides so much more GOOD information and insight here and around the world – information that is very important and educative, such as it was today's show. Again, the events and other related events of last night have been broadcasted over, over, over again.... CNN you have HLN and CNN – I see the same over and over on both, not to mentioned other networks as well. For what is worth, letting an Outstanding shows as Fareed's run completely will help the overload of the same "breaking news" over and over again on almost all news hours. I also appreciate "Democracy Now" for the same reasons.

I have been a fan of GPS for quite a while and look forward to watching it every Sunday on CNN. On this day, Nov.6, 2016, it was extremely disappointing to see that Mr. Conrad Black was a guest on GPS. An individual considered by many as being morally and ethically bankrupt. An individual who has been indicted, convicted and incarcerated for being responsible, by virtue of his insatiable greed for money while in a position of trust, brought about the financial demise of so many. People from all walks of life who have been bilked out of their life savings and retirement nest eggs by Mr. Black. As such and unfortunately so dear Fareed, it with regret that I feel compelled in stating that Mr. Black's presence is considered by many to have been diminutive to the show's integrity. Regards
I normally enjoy listening to your point of view and discovering new facts or perspectives on trending topics.
However I was alarmed by comments on two recent GPS shows.
A couple of weeks ago you offered an intellectuallly dishonest apology for the disaster in Iraq by claiming that somehow President Obama waited seven passes years before embarking on a more aggressive military campaign there because he needed a cooperative government And now because of his strategic brlliance all will be well in Iraq. This is quite interesting as I do not recall Obama or his surrogates mentioning this strategy. Their
default and somewhat misleading position has always been that they withdrew all forces because of a lack of a standard of force agreement. This Requirement for an agreement is belied by the fact that we have now the same number of troops as Bush proposed leaving without a standard of force agreement. And you cynically avoid mentioning the cost of waiting seven years to implement his grand strategy. In the meantime Isis has proliferated in Iraq and metastasized, genocide has been perpetuated on Christians and other religious or ethnic minorities, and Iran has imposed its heavy footprint throughout the country which is not exactly stabilizing.Were these factors and events part of Obamas calculus and why did you not allude to them in the spirit of journalistic fairness? I suspect that history will characterize the Obama administration as lacking a coherent strategy in north Africa and near Asia.
Secondly I was offended when you described non college educated rural whites who voted for Trump as possessing "poor work habits." I possess a doctorate degree and reside in an urban area. I often visit the mountains of N Carolina and meet people you disparaged. Although lacking a college education, they employ practical skills I can only envy to eke out a living in various jobs'
They are too proud to submit to social welfare which would probably afford them more total income.Would you describe urban poor as lacking good work habits?

I listened to GPS this morning and I think you have something wrong about George Washington not wanting to accept his salary. It was stated that he wanted to donate it back. I believe there is evidence that George Washington said to congress that he did not want a salary, he wanted only his expenses paid. It was John Adams who said, no, we have seen what kind of expenses you required as Commander of the Continental Army for which George Washington did not take a salary. His expenses were enormous. Adams insisted that Washington be paid a salary for President and that is the real story. You need to get it right.
On your show today regarding where America falls in education compared to other countries and why we rank so low. My feeling on this is that's it is directly linked to nutrition and exposure to chemicals. The chemicals in our water and food supply are causing great harm to the American people. The drug and chemical companies are all about profits rather than considering the safety of our people and environment. Doing something about this should be a top priority of the new administration.
Our healthcare system needs a complete overhaul and Doctors should be trained to teach prevention and good nutrition rather than prescribing a pill to every patient that walks into their office. I believe there is a place for prescription medicine however unfortunately because of the power of drug companies Doctors are encouraged to use the American people as Guini pigs for every new drug they come up with. I know this by watching my mother struggle for years with diabetes and artery disease and my father with diabetes. Doctors changing medicine regularly to keep it under control but never seeming to come up with the right medicine or combination of medicine to cure it. my mom is gone now and I wish I would have know this sooner so I could have tried to help her.
